What Information We Collect
Anonymous Usage
Our browser extension logs anonymized details—extension version, enabled options, number of ads blocked, browser type, OS—and assigns a unique, non-identifiable ID per install. These aggregates help us diagnose issues and gauge feature performance.
Personal Data
When visiting our website or syncing settings, we receive your IP address and basic click events (e.g., install/download clicks). After six months, identifiable information like IPs is purged from our records.
Error Reporting
On extension errors, a report (anonymous ID, browser version, error details) is sent automatically. URLs are stripped for privacy. We retain error logs for 7 days to troubleshoot crashes.
Server Logs
We keep infrastructure logs for up to 90 days, hashing IPs to protect identity. Payment logs obey tax-law retention, storing only card type, last four digits, and minimal billing info.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics with limited data to understand traffic patterns. You can opt out via Google’s browser add-on: ga-opt-out.
How We Use Collected Data
All information is for internal improvement—enhancing stability, refining features, and preventing fraud. We never sell personal data; only anonymized aggregates may be shared.
We comply with lawful requests (e.g., subpoenas). If we must turn over personal data, we’ll notify you unless prohibited by law (e.g., under 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b)).
We rely on third-party hosts and services to store and process data. While we enforce strong safeguards, we depend on their security practices as well.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed—transmission and storage risks remain.
GDPR & European Users
Under GDPR, processing is lawful by your consent (Art 6(1)(a)), contract necessity (Art 6(1)(b)), legal obligations (Art 6(1)(c)), or our legitimate interests (Art 6(1)(f)).
You may withdraw consent anytime or exercise rights to access, rectify, restrict, erase, and port your data. For complaints, contact your local supervisory authority.
Chrome & Edge Store Policies
Our Chrome and Edge extensions adhere to each store’s privacy requirements—data minimization, transparency, and secure storage. Any data synced via browser APIs uses encrypted channels.
We publish our privacy disclosures in each store listing and update them promptly if policies or data practices change.
Your Rights
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data.
- Correct inaccuracies or complete incomplete data.
- Request deletion or restriction of processing.
- Data portability to another service provider.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
